Grassroots Exchange & Education
In order to further enhance the global partnership between US and Japan, CGP fosters US-Japan grassroots exchange in various ways, including region to region, civil society, and youth exchange programs. CGP also promotes understanding of Japanese culture and society in the United States, focusing on K-12 education and community outreach.Institutional Funding

Japan America Society (JAS) Initiative

Japan Outreach Initiative (JOI) Program
TBAPromotes US-Japan exchange activities and fosters a grassroots understanding about Japan by dispatching Japanese individuals to volunteer in communities in the US

J-Initiative: J-Support, Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery
Deadline PassedContributes to the March 2011 Japanese earthquake disaster recovery efforts through various networks including civil society, education, youth, cultural, business, NPO/NGO, philanthropic, sister city, and other types of grassroots exchange between the US and Japan.
