Now Accepting Concept Papers for CGP Regular Grants (Deadline Oct. 1) - CLOSED
17-Aug-2012The Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership (CGP) is now accepting concept papers for the 2012 Regular CGP Grants.
The CGP Grant Program will provide funding for projects in the following two categories:
Category 1: Policy-oriented projects (Intellectual Exchange)
CGP supports policy-oriented projects conducted by an array of U.S. and Japanese institutions (including non-profit organizations, universities, and think tanks). These projects explore contemporary issues common to countries and/or local communities and involve cooperation among academics, practitioners, civil servants, and civil society organizations.

Category 2: Promote the understanding of Japan and networking
CGP launched the J-Initiative in 2010 in order to promote networking, capacity building, and innovative program development for US-Japan exchange and outreach. CGP will continue this grant program as Category 2 in Japanese Fiscal Year 2013.
CGP supports projects aimed to promote the understanding of Japan at the local level as well as to foster networking and mutual understanding among the civil society sectors of Japan and the U.S.
