Cultural Understanding through Design

From May 22nd to June 3rd architecture students from Tuskegee University TCACS traveled to Kagoshima University to collaborate together in person in order to propose new design ideas in each location around the theme of “community development”. Together with the Kagoshima University students, they traveled to the town of Koyama to survey the area and meet with town officials before selecting project sites to begin their design work. At the end of their trip they presented their design ideas to the public in Koyama. This project was under supported by the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership.
