“Network for the Future” Scholars in Washington D.C.

Participants of the “U.S.-Japan Network for the Future” program convened in Washington D.C. recently to participate in several events related to Prime Minister Abe’s recent visit, including his April 29th speech at a symposium hosted by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation-USA and the Mansfield Foundation’s Capitol Hill symposium. The scholars also engaged in dialogue with Japanese Diet members visiting for the Mansfield Foundation’s Foley Legislative Exchange and had a discussion with the Embassy of Japan’s Minister for Public Affairs, Mr. Masato Otaka.

The program is currently halfway through the program events for the third cohort of participants.  The third cohort will be visiting Japan next month for a week-long study trip.
